Help!

On this my 5th pattern repeat, I screwed up. I have 38 stitches on one side of the marker, 34 on the other. How did this happen?

It would help to know how many stitches should be on each row -- does anyone know how many are increased every other row so I can count back?

And ... I've read about "lifelines" -- what are they? Where can I find one? Do they work at the office? In relationships? (hee hee)

Thanks Melisa -- Both tips will really help. I'm a relative newbie when it comes to lace, but I love the pattern

Your total stitch count should increase by four stitches every right side row. I use a spreadsheet to keep track of the counts and pattern repeats.

I use a spreadsheet chart. I know exactly how many stitches for each side, for each pattern row that I should have. I use markers and count OFTEN!!

Thanks for the stitch count
Beverly -- that will certainly help. So how do you put a pattern on a spreadsheet?
