Finished but not Blocked

My shawl is finished - in record time for me and I'm very pleased with it so far.

But now I come to the blocking. What is the best method for this?

On the only other shawl I made I used lots of pins and a back breaking job it was too. I'm womdering whether to invest in some blocking wires. What do you think?

I invested in some blocking wires. My Swallowtail was the first project that I used them for. They were a big help. The points still needeed to each be pinned individually, but at least that top edge is nice and straight.
Congratulations on finishing your Swallowtail. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I vote for blocking wires. Think it will make the points more regular and nicely pointed. Heard it makes bloacking easier too! =)
