Noro Kureyon for Swallowtail?

I have some Noro Kureyon that I'm thinking of using for the Swallowtail Shawl. Here's a picture:

The yarn is a worsted weight, and a mixture of wool, silk and angora. A bit rough to the hand, but beautiful. Do you think that it would work? And if not, does anyone have a suggestion for a shawl pattern for a worsted-weight yarn?

Thanks.

hmm...noro is beautiful, but i'd be hesitant to use it for the swallowtail. i think the nupps especially would give you trouble. the clapotis at knitty.com, however, has been done many times in noro, and it's beautiful. whatever you decide, happy knitting!

thanks! Odd coincedence - I just heard mention of the clapotis on Cast On (perhaps I'm the last knitter in the world to learn of them?).I'll check it out.

I can't quite imagine knitting Swallowtail in Noro--but I am totally intrigued! I'd love to see what you come up with!

Clapotis is a great idea. Another possibility might be knitting the Shetland Triangle from Wrap Style. Just make sure you keep a loose gauge.

I think it would be fantastic. Just use bigger needles & have a bigger shawl. This shawl is so small, that to me bigger is better. It will be beautiful. I'm late to reply & am wondering what you may have done!!

Just a warning on the end-size. I used Cascade 220 in my first Swallowtail Shawl and it came out HUGE. Feel free to check my post on it. (http://www.somebunnyslove.com/index.php/archives/nothing-gold-can-stay/)
Good luck!
